Padua’s melodic deathers with pagan themes ALZHAGOTH have released the new single “Grievous Diorama”, available on the main digital streaming platforms from today November 15h. The song is taken from the band’s upcoming album, to be released via Inertial Music and the details of which have not yet been revealed.
“Grievous Diorama” explores a forbidden bond in which sin seizes the mind, dragging it into an abyss of torment. Desire and damnation merge, and the human being loses himself in an insatiable hunger, finding his forgiveness only in the self-destructive path.

“Grievous Diorama” is a song in which the melodies, through choirs and orchestrations, tell a harrowing path of self-destruction, in perfect harmony with the lyrics. Guitars and drums punctuate and amplify this tension, while Matteo’s voice evokes a scratchy sense of inevitability: the human being appears with no escape from a desire that dominates him and pushes him into a destructive cycle of repetition compulsion. Dedicated to the pagan death metal cult of Alzhagoth, the band’s members abandoned their former lives and bands in 2019 to fully devote themselves to channeling the messages of the primordial being they follow. United by inspiration drawn from flesh and blood, they raise their goblets each night in honor of the god Alzhagoth. Combining melodic rhythms with arpeggios and harmonizations, they create a sound that’s both powerful and crushing, skillfully enhanced by symphonic elements.
