TIM McGRAW confirmed details of his album Standing Room Only in June 2023, setting an August 25 release date through Big Machine Records and giving fans another preview with the new song “Hey Whiskey.”
The project brought together 13 new tracks and reunited McGraw with longtime producer Byron Gallimore. It marked his first full studio album since Here on Earth and followed the release of the title track earlier that spring.
TIM McGRAW ANNOUNCES STANDING ROOM ONLY
McGraw described the record as the result of a push to go deeper creatively and make a stronger project than the one before it. The album’s material leans into reflection, resilience, relationships and the kind of life perspective that has long been central to some of his biggest songs.
The June announcement also introduced “Hey Whiskey,” expanding the picture of the album beyond the already-released title track and setting the stage for the full August release.
