98 Rock in Baltimore, MD had their first Spring Fling show at the CFG Bank Arena with headliner Staind, Ayron Jones, The Struts, and Seether!
The first act of the night was Ayron Jones from Seattle, WA. He performed a good 30-minute set and had a very R&B and rock sound and feel. Some of the songs that he performed that night were “Blood in the Water,” “On 2 Feet I Stand,” and “Take Me Away.”
After about a 20-minute break, it was time for the British rock band, The Struts. The band played a good 40 maybe, 45 minute set, with about 8 songs. The lead vocalist, Luke Spiller, danced around all over the stage, keeping the fans well entertained. Some of the songs the band performed were, “Too Good at Raising Hell, “Pretty Vicious,” and “Could Have Been Me.” The Struts remind me of a mixture of The Rolling Stones, Queen and AC/DC.
After another quick break and stage change up was the band from South Africa, Seether. The group played a good 12-song set and had the crowd singing along with them to many songs, including such songs as “Broken,” “Country Song,” “Fake It,” and “Remedy.” When they performed “Broken,” it was acoustic with just the lead singer and the lead guitar player
It was time for the headliner tonight for 98 Rock’s Spring Fling 2024 and that was Staind. Aaron Lewis and the guys from the band played a 14-song set which included a lot of their hits, such as, “Something to Remind You,” “Outside,” “So Far Away,” and “For You.” The band put on an excellent show.
