– Dark alternative / electronic artist, SYS MACHINE has just unveiled their highly-anticipated full-length release, Parts Unknown.

Parts Unknown is the third album from SYS MACHINE and the first to be released through the Glitchmode Recordings imprint (home to artists including Cyanotic, Derision Cult, Conformco, and Rabbit Junk). The record presents a melancholy collection of songs built around heavy electronic and trip-hop rhythms, layered with clean guitar textures and melodic vocals.

Lyrically, the album reflects on navigating an age of uncertainty—both spiritually and technologically—touching on themes of recovery, loss, and the uneasy process of entering new phases of life. Like the previous SYS MACHINE release, the album also features guest vocal contributions from Kimberly Kornmeier of Bow Ever Down on two tracks, adding a dynamic that recalls the atmospheric interplay heard in artists like Garbage and Portishead.

While continuing the project’s electronic foundations, Parts Unknown expands the sonic palette of previous SYS MACHINE releases. Acoustic guitars and heavier rhythmic elements introduce a broader range of textures, modernizing the sound while drawing inspiration from artists such as Porcupine Tree, Peter Gabriel, Depeche Mode, Portishead, and Nine Inch Nails.
