In 2025, CARRESE returns to the music scene with “Crisalide,” a six-track EP that exudes the essence of metamorphosis. The first of the three chosen singles, “Riflesso,” is the most introspective one, a true encounter between the artist and herself. The somber theme is enveloped in a distinctly electronic and impactful beat, thanks to the musical production by Vincenzo Pizzi, producer and sound designer. CARRESE takes us on a musical journey that embraces change, exploring its mystery and beauty.
Hailing from Rome, Italy, CARRESE is a singer-songwriter and guitarist who gives voice to the invisible, telling stories of transformation. Born in 1994, the youngest of five children, she left her hometown in Campania for Rome, where she studied cinema and found her truth in music.
In 2015, her voice reached a wider audience with her appearance on The Voice of Italy, a turning point that didn’t end under the spotlight but instead pushed her to seek a deeper and more personal sound. Between 2020 and 2022, she released her first songs produced by Marta Venturini, exploring wounds and rebirths.
In 2022, a heart operation marked her life and art: Valvola, her first EP, was born, a work that turned vulnerability into strength. The single “Squali,” featuring Gemello, previewed this new awareness.
Now, in 2025, CARRESE is back with “Crisalide,” six tracks that exude the essence of metamorphosis. The electronic sounds wrap around her words and voice, now more elegant and impactful than ever. Produced by Vincenzo Pizzi, the project is a musical journey that embraces change, exploring its mystery and beauty.
In a recent interview, CARRESE commented on her debut single “Riflesso,” stating: “I wrote ‘Riflesso’ after receiving some sad news. It was difficult to feel pain, yet the pain was immense. It was difficult to cry, yet the tears were choking me. Lost in my apathy, I lied to myself to the point of no longer seeing my reflection, to the point of disappearing. I composed this song to seek answers, to find myself again.”
“Riflesso” is a powerful and emotional track that showcases CARRESE’s unique style and songwriting skills. With its haunting melody and thought-provoking lyrics, it will undoubtedly resonate with listeners around the world.
