Cryptic Philadelphia-based metal entity PHANTOM HEIR prepares to deliver its perplexing new EP, Fragile Immortals, on July 4th.
Fusing contemplative and tranquil atmospheres with a visceral tenacity drawn from metal and hardcore, the music of PHANTOM HEIR culminates in soundscapes guided by conceptual narratives and punctured with emotional depth. Through two albums and a multitude of singles and more, the solo outfit has amassed an impressive arsenal of varied works over the past several years.
The entity now unveils Fragile Immortals, a collection of four heavy songs with a djent-meets-post-metal approach. As with all its prior material, all music was performed by the sole entity known as PHANTOM HEIR â the EP written, arranged, composed, mixed, and mastered in Barcelona, Athens, Sofia, and Philadelphia â yet the EP is the projectâs first release that features an external collaboration of dual vocalists. with clean vocals/lyrics by Angel Eduardo (Blue Food) and harsh vocals/lyrics by Redouane Aouameur (Lelahell). The cover artwork for Fragile Immortals was created by Hell Simulation with art direction and design by James Bonilla.
The first single from PHANTOM HEIRâs Fragile Immortals, âThe Revelation,â is now streaming at Bandcamp where preorders can be placed RIGHT HERE.
Additional previews of the EP will drop over the days ahead.
PHANTOM HEIR has booked a Fragile Immortals Bandcamp Listening Party, set for 7pm Eastern on Wednesday, July 2nd. RSVP and attend the online gathering HERE.

All empires fall. The cycle of history has demonstrated as much. But despite this, we see the meteoric rise of new regimes â and the further ascension of existing ones â every day. With each spawns forth an iron grip of oppression, fear, and violence. Genocide, terror, autocracy, and slavery to false ideals â these are the bastions that shape our new dark ages.
This release challenges the complacent resignation that this must forever be the way. Resistance is only futile in the throes of despair. To fight against these overlords and their unjust reign, one must first look deep within and channel the intrinsic power of human perseverance and empathy into a sustained cry that refuses to go unheard. This record is one of those cries. In unison with others, it creates a voice too deafening to ignore â regardless of ethnicity, religion, or creed. This plight we collectively exist within transcends borders and polarizations; it is a series of human injustices and crimes that must be condemned and rectified.
This is for those who endure and suffer the horrors and atrocities of imperialism and apartheid. This is for those repulsed by witnessing and experiencing this inhumanity of humankind. This is for those sickened and mortified by the myriad betrayals to our beloved earth and its inhabitants. This is for the wicked forces who yearn for nothing but profit and domination â the end of their reign is nigh.
Free the countless marginalized and enslaved victims across this earth whose land has been stolen and whose identities have been colonized. Liberate the oppressed and amplify the voiceless. End the senseless bloodshed and strip away the shackles of capitalism. Resist techno-feudalism and attention economy diversions. Reject corporate entities and their corrupt machinations â from gentrification, to planned obsolescence, to insipid spectacle, to the glorification of automation and its erosion of human creativity.
Preserve the earth, its finite resources, and all that live upon it while time still allows. An end to apartheid states and genocide. An end to the destruction of civil rights and liberties. An end to the erasure of indigenous cultures â an end to the murder of all living beings, animals, and creatures. An end to the plundering and exploitation of the environment for objectivist gain. An end to the apathetic complicity imposed and exhibited by the ruling classes. An end to the superficial revelry of blind hedonism as the earth burns.
A mirror to the fallacy of immortal supremacy. May it eternally shatter.
