Connecticut-based noise rock henchmen INTERCOURSE present their official cover of “Violet” by Hole! The new cover follows the late 2025 Brutal Panda Records release of their scathing fourth LP, How I Fell In Love With The Void.

“Violet” was recorded during the How I Fell In Love With The Void sessions with Chris Teti (The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid To Die). INTERCOURSE vocalist Tarek Ahmed writes, “When it came time for us to do a cover we thought to ourselves, ‘Why not just do the opening track from the greatest album of the ‘90s? Maybe we could bring something new to it?’ Then went through all the trouble and realized no one could ever do this song better than the Queen herself. But here it is anyways.”

The self-deprecating INTERCOURSE – vocalist Tarek Ahmed, guitarist Sean Prior, drummer Caleb Porter and bassist Pete Stroczkowski – has averaged a release per year since forming in 2013, and has kicked against the pricks, power brokers, and pissants who make America “great” while tempering their outlook with a self-deprecating look inward.

INTERCOURSE’s How I Fell In Love With The Void delivers ten searing new tracks that merge elements of metallic hardcore into an antagonistic foundation of corrosive noise rock. The album was recorded by Chris Teti at Silver Bullet Studios in Burlington, Connecticut. It was mastered by George Richter (Thy Will Be Done) and mixed by Chris Teti and Greg Thomas. The photograph on the album cover was shot by Sherilyn Furneaux (Portrayal Of Guilt) and features exotic dancer Clementine.

How I Fell In Love With The Void is available on LP, CD, MC, and digitally at the Brutal Panda store HERE and Bandcamp HERE.

INTERCOURSE has also announced a barrage of new tour dates for the year. This Saturday, March 14th they’ll destroy Providence as support for Deadguy and All Out War. “Sardonic noise rock outfit INTERCOURSE are back with their latest proclamation of misery…” – Decibel Magazine

“How I Fell In Love With The Void is their most caustic effort yet, blending corrosive noise rock with shades of metallic hardcore across ten blistering tracks.” – Metal Injection

“…they do what they have always done: deliver twisted, noise-rock-influenced hardcore shot through with a self-deprecating sense of humor.” – New Noise Magazine

“…a ten-song slab of chaos and unpredictability that hits hard as fuck.” – MetalSucks

“…INTERCOURSE dig into the dark and oppressive side of hardcore. The heavier groove works nicely alongside the noise rock influence, with touches of a sludge pedigree coming through when things slow down… INTERCOURSE understand that hopelessness is not always defeatism; sometimes it is the only way through.” – PopMatters

“As its own art and as a noisy, heavy distillation of modern post-9/11, post-COVID life, How I Fell In Love With The Void hits harder than a father’s belt. If the songs are Rorschach blots meant to reveal our more devilish tendencies and what’s ripping our skulls open from the inside, then INTERCOURSE are the disorderlies on a stage putting on a live show supervised by Nurse Ratched while we all wail and froth in our own personal apocalypses.” – Everything Is Noise
