About Tom Wopat:
Itâs been several decades since the General Lee first left the ground, sky-rocketing Tom Wopat and co-star John Schneider to instant Dukes of Hazzard stardom. In the 40+ years since, Wopat has been blessed with a multifaceted career that has ranged from starring roles on Broadway, various television appearances, singing in such venues as The Olâ Opera, Carnegie Hall, and the Hollywood Bowl, to a featured role in Quentin Tarantinoâs Django Unchained. More recently Wopat released a new recording project, an album entitled Simple Man, a 13 song collection that is his 13th solo album.
Also recently released are the second and third installments of the County Line movie trilogy, County Line: All In & County Line: No Fear, available now on the INSP Network. Wopat also recently starred on the TV series, Black List, which features James Spader, as he quipped âI enjoy keeping a lot of balls in the air.â Tom was a staple on the Broadway stage for 35 years, garnering a pair of Tony award nominations along the way. Long known for his musical leading man abilities, Wopat also was critically acclaimed for his dramatic work in The Trip to Bountiful and Glenn Gary Glenn Ross. But currently itâs his work in the studio and on the road with some of the most talented musicians in the world that has provided Tom the most satisfaction. Tom says, âAt this point, I basically do what I enjoy⦠Iâve been blessed.â
About Whey Jennings:
Country singer-songwriter Whey Jennings was born into one of country musicâs most iconic family names, first emerging in 2012 as another naturally gifted singer from the Jennings tribe. With large boots to fill, the young Nashville recording artist and singer-songwriter for Dirt Rock Empire, with a booming baritone voice as big as Texas, finds himself with a few expectations to live up to. Seeking to establish his own musical legacy as one of the few remaining torch-bearing country traditionalists out there, Whey can instantly take his fans back to a time and sound his Grandfather Waylon and Grandmother Jessi gave birth to in the 70âs, even with his own songs.
With three studio recorded EP releases under his belt, 2020âs Gypsy Soul, 2022âs If It Wasnât for The Sinninâ, and 2023âs Just Before The Dawn, Jennings is now preparing for his magnum opus of songs, his first full length album, the highly anticipated Jekyll & Hyde, due out August 23, 2024. Many of Wheyâs songs reveal stories of how he has come to terms with a checkered past of too much partying, led by a drug-fueled lifestyle, but knowing he needed to make a change. Musical stories about struggles, addiction, finding sobriety, and redemption through faith in God, family and his friends. Interjecting his own modern-day approach to songwriting and storytelling, while remaining a little rough around the edges, Wheyâs unpolished grit and honest demeanor defines his sound, with musical roots that run as deep as his Jennings family name would imply.
