Brad Paisley made a stop on his 2019 world tour at Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia. Touring with Paisley are Chris Lane and Singer-Songwriter Riley Green.
Riley Green, a Jacksonville, Alabama native, opened the show with a good 30-minute set. Green played his hit, “There Was This Girl,” and his newest single now on radio, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.” Green also did a great cover of a John Anderson hit from the early 90s, “Seminole Win.” Green’s newest album, “Different ‘Round Here,” due for release September 20, 2019.
Chris Lane was up next and had a very upbeat 45-minute set including his hits, “Fix,” “For Her” and his smash hit “Take Back Home Girl.” Lane also did a melody of songs, “Should’ve Been a Cowboy/Watermelon Crawl/ Boot Scoot Boogie/Dust on the Bottle/ Check Yes or No/ Sold/ Friends in Low Places/ All I Do is Win.” Lane gives it his all to make the crowd and his fans happy with a lot of interaction. At one point he came out on the walkway of the stage with a Go Pro telling everyone to smile because he wanted photos of them too.
Up next was one of the main reasons Jiffy Lube was packed on a Saturday night. Brad Paisley did a 23-song high energy set with an encore. Paisley has an extended stage that curves, with four staged mics to perform at all through the show. Paisley opened the show with his newest single, “Beat This Summer,” along with 22 songs he performed including his greatest hits “Ticks,” “The World,” and “Water.” As he began the song “Then,” he noticed a couple in the crowd who had a sign they used at their wedding with the song lyrics on it, so he singed it for the couple. He sang “I’m Still A Guy,” with help from Chris Land and Riley Green. He also did a “Purple Rain” intro for “Last Time for Everything,” and other hits, “She’s Everything,” “I’m Going to Miss Her.” Paisley did a couple of covers as well, “Hot for Teacher,” a classic Val Halen hit and “Chattahoochee,” a hit song for Alan Jackson. Paisley ended with his hit song “Today, and for his encore he sang “Alcohol.” Paisley likes to play at Jiffy Lube in Bristow, VA because it’s close for family and friends to come see him perform from his home state of West Virginia.
