Dariann Leigh is from a small town in Minnesota. She is one of the newest singer-songwriters out of Nashville, and she performed at the Cancun Cantina in Hanover, MD.
Dariann Leigh hit the stage with her band and performed three sets for about 45 minutes each, to keep all of the dancers line dancing on the floor. She performed some of her original music, along with her versions of such country classics as Jo Dee Messina’s “Heads Carolina Tails California,” along with the great Dolly Parton’s “9 to 5,” she also did the 80s classic from The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, “Fishing in the Dark.”
Dariann Leigh has a distinct sound and is a very talented songwriter. I know one thing, this girl is already turning heads in Nashville, and will one day be playing the bigger stages. If you have a chance to see her, I would do it now.
