Shinedown brought The Revolution’s Live Tour to the Chesapeake Insurance Arena in Baltimore MD, with guests The Pretty Reckless and Diamante on 4/20/22 to a jam-packed arena.
Diamante opened the show. This was the second time seeing her live and she puts on an awesome stage performance. Diamante and her band put on a good 30-minute set. She opened with “Ghost Myself” and did a great cover of The Goo Goo Dolls hit, “Iris”. She closed her seven-song set with “War Cry.” When her set was done, she went to the merch tables, signed autographs, and took pics with anyone in the arena.
The Pretty Reckless was up next. Singer Taylor Momsen was, if you didn’t know, a child actress and was in few hit movies including “We were Soldiers.” The role everyone will know is “How a Grinch Stole Christmas,” where she played Cindy Lou Who. TPR played a good forty-five-minute set opening with a cover of Soundgarden’s song “Loud Love.” Momsen played up to the crowd and used the whole extended stage, so everyone got a good chance of seeing her up close. TPR played a 9-song set including songs “Death by Rock and Roll’ and “Make Me Wanna Die.” The whole time Momsen was dancing and having one hell of a time. They ended the set with “Take me Down”.
A quick change of stage setup and it was that time of the night for Shinedown to hit the stage. Before that, the lights went down and a video played showing the pandemic and what everyone had be doing to get back to normal again, with clips of the band backstage during shows. The lights went out again and you see a silhouette of 4 guys on stage with a bright light behind them. Shinedown open show with “The Saints of Violence and Innuendo.” The band played an almost two hour set with hits like “45,” “Bully” and “Monsters.” During the set the band announced that their seventh album, “Planet Zero” would now be released in July for everyone to enjoy globally. Along with the 19-song set there was fire and pyro. Shinedown also did two covers, the first was a Foo Fighters song “Wheels,” which was a tribute to the late great Taylor Hawkins, and then the hit song of Lynyrd Skynyrd “Simple Man.” The band closed out their show with “Sound of Madness.”
