Last year, pioneering American electronic music duo THE CRYSTAL METHOD celebrated their 20th anniversary as a group with their self-titled fifth studio album THE CRYSTAL METHOD. Rolling into 2015, the duo of KEN JORDAN and SCOTT KIRKLAND will release THE CRYSTAL METHOD REMIXED on March 17 via their Tiny e imprint with exclusive formats for iTunes, Beatport and Spotify.
THE CRYSTAL METHOD REMIXED will feature a wide variety of remixes of material from the #1 iTunes Top Electronic The Crystal Method album, all of which have never been heard before and were personally chosen by TCM’s KIRKLAND and JORDAN. Expect unique re-workings of some of the artfully crafted soundscapes that solidified THE CRYSTAL METHOD as one of the most successful electronic music outfits in history.
A selection of instrumentals such as “Sling The Decks,” and “Jupiter Shift” (which was utilized in a GMC Truck commercial) plus contributions from Dia Frampton (who adds a sense of soul to the single“Over It”) country star LeAnn Rimes (who lends her instantly recognizable and infectious pipes to the gorgeous “Grace”) and Scars On Broadway’s Franky Perez (with “Difference”) are remixed by an assortment of emerging artists in bass, electro and house music: Bixel Boys, Terravita, Kennedy Jones, Darth & Vader and many more. Following the release of THE CRYSTAL METHOD REMIXED on April 10, the film The Sisterhood of Night featuring an original score by THE CRYSTAL METHOD and Tobias Enhus will be making its way into theaters. The pair, whose previous scoring credits include films such as the Hollywood blockbuster Real Steel and indy cult classic London, return to the big screen to set the sonic tone for this intense movie about a secret world of teenage girls. In other news, THE CRYSTAL METHOD recently teamed with Dada Life to score the music for the League of Legends champion, DJ Sona. The highly popular Riot Games premiere of DJ Sona’s “Kinetic” theme music has already received over 2 million YouTube views since launching on February 4.
