36 CRAZYFISTS Announce ‘Lanterns’ + Release New Song ‘Death Eater’

36 CRAZYFISTS announced their seventh full-length album, Lanterns, for a September 29, 2017 release through Spinefarm Records and introduced the record with the new song Death Eater.

The album followed 2015’s Time and Trauma and continued the Alaska-bred band’s long-running blend of metal, hardcore and melodic heaviness.

Vocalist Brock Lindow described Death Eater as a song rooted in self-reflection, hitting rock bottom and finding the tools to pull yourself back out rather than surrendering to hopelessness. That theme extended across Lanterns, a record centered on the internal fight to keep moving forward.

The lineup featured Lindow with guitarist Steve Holt, bassist Mick Whitney and drummer Kyle Baltus.

36 Crazyfists supported the album with extensive touring through the summer and fall, bringing the new material to audiences across North America.
