Electro-Industrial rockers JUSTIN ‡ SYMBOL released their new album, V Ω I D H E A D, in October. Throughout the course of the album’s build-up and launch, JUSTIN ‡ SYMBOL has released several music videos – and he’s not stopping any time soon!

“‘Purgatory’ is the most personal song I’ve ever written,” states Symbol. “It’s the fifth track on the album, literally right in the middle. It’s about feeling trapped between heaven and hell. In the video, I’m asking myself, “Are you ready to rid yourself of the demon which has become your best friend?””

Featuring intense religious imagery and SFX make-up, plus amazing camera work, the ‘Purgatory’ video invites the viewer into the mind of JUSTIN ‡ SYMBOL, who takes us on a wild ride whilst working to exorcise his demons – literally. The ‘Purgatory’ video is chock-full of visual goodies, along similar lines of Symbol’s other controversial videos for ‘Voidhead’, ‘Digital Penetration’, ‘Control’, and others. The video is directed and lensed by cinematographer Jeff Turick.

JUSTIN ‡ SYMBOL’s new album V Ω I D H E A D is produced by frontman Symbol himself and keytarist BABA YAGA, and is mixed by Michael Spivack, while mastering credits go to Ryan Schwabe of Maniac Mansion Mastering. Mastering took place at The Headroom in Philadelphia, PA. Through the course of these ten tracks, Symbol and his band expand on the template of their new “Digital Rock” sound – the result is a raw hybrid of EDM, Industrial, and metal which takes the listener through a roller coaster ride of thoughts and emotions. Several tracks on the record, including ‘Purgatory’, feature former Marilyn Manson guitarist Daisy Berkowitz.
