WODE: Burn In Many Mirrors LP By UK Black Metal Quartet Now Streaming Ahead Of Its Release Through 20 Buck Spin This Friday; Band To Host Gimme Metal Guest DJ Session Tomorrow

Burn In Many Mirrors, the smoldering third LP from English black metal practitioners WODE, is now playing in its entirety ahead of its release through 20 Buck Spin this Friday.

The follow-up to the highly praised Servants Of The Countercosmos, released by the legendary Avantgarde Music, WODE’s Burn In Many Mirrors presents the band’s most potently wild and predatory work yet. With six new tracks spanning forty minutes of meticulously summoned infernal ferocity, the band scorches the landscape and drapes it in the foul reek of death’s fog. One may hear the ancient voice of obscure and revered gods reflected through WODE’s sulphuric incantations, the raging fire of the most blasphemous legends of the past called upon by the spirit of chaos and death. Shrouded in sepulchral black metal atmosphere and freezing cold melodies, Burn In Many Mirrors displays a studied regard for songcraft and motive well beyond mere convention, transforming into a concentrated dark chorus of ruin and abomination.

Now into the second decade of existence in the material plane, WODE’s definitive melding of black metal’s ecstatic desecration, death metal’s sharply attuned sense of violent purpose, and classic anthemic ‘80s metal instills Burn In Many Mirrors with the elements necessary to sear itself into the fervent heart of the faithful. Recorded by Joe Clayton at NØ Studio and mastered by Magnus Lindberg, Burn In Many Mirrors is completed with cosmic front and back cover paintings by Santiago Caruso (Stargazer) and layout by Envoy Of Death Design. WODE is a must here for fans of Sacramentum, Dissection, Watain, Nightbringer, Uada, Enslaved, Absu, Necrophobic, Craft, and Rotting Christ.

Unleash WODE’s Burn In Many Mirrors in its entirety now at THIS LOCATION.

WODE is also sanctioned to host a guest DJ session on Gimme Metal tomorrow, Thursday, April 1st. The carnage will ensue at 8am Pacific/11am Eastern. Seek further intel and tune in HERE.

Burn In Many Mirrors will see release on LP, CD, cassette, and digital formats through 20 Buck Spin this Friday, April 2nd. Find preorders at the label shop HERE and Bandcamp HERE.

In their May 2021 issue, Decibel Magazine interviewed WODE, writing in part, “…six tracks blazing with urgency, haunting fury, tight production and – weaving through a wicked crush of sound – melodies that dare you to call ‘catchy’ a dirty word. Burn In Many Mirrors is a natural evolution for WODE.” A 9/10 review at Metal Temple praised, “It isn’t so much that the music is progressive or complicated but instead the songs just being very well put together… Rather than being full of excess or even too much of a minimalist approach, the songs are individual adventures that complement the greater whole.”

Invisible Oranges wrote, “WODE has been killing it ever since they released their debut album in 2016 and clearly, they’re not stopping anytime soon. Wode’s new album Burn in Many Mirrors is a nearly flawless blend of black, death, and progressive metal, as if early Opeth heard the metal of the future and immediately decided to jump the gun. It also helps that Burn in Many Mirrors sounds super clear to showcase all it has going on, though with just enough grime that you can’t quite shake that blackened feeling.” And Meat Mead Metal declares, “This long has been a band that has been unsatisfied with status quo when it comes to their chosen sound, and they absolutely take you apart with these six tracks. More people are going to be smartened up to WODE simply through their association with 20 Buck Spin, and that’s an introduction that’s going to absolutely pummel some people who had been lulled to sleep the past few years who are about to wake up violently.”

Watch for additional updates from WODE to post over the months ahead.
