Three Days Grace brought their Explosions 2022 North American Tour to Irving Texas on August 12th 2022. With them was metal legends Wage War and Zero 9:36. The Pavilion at Toyota Music Factory is one of my favorite venues for live shows. Was happy to see this one was being held there.

First up was a band that I personally haven’t listened to much. I did know a few songs though. Zero 9:36 came out to a somewhat mild crowd at first but his energetic stage presence definitely got them going within the first few songs. Towards the end of his set he played the song that basically every single person in attendance knew “Adrenaline”. I will say Zero really does interact a lot with the crowd. Very enjoyable.

Next up was Wage War. I covered these guys a few years back and was anxious to catch another show. Always an entertaining band. If the crowd in attendance wasn’t ready to mosh with Zero they definitely didn’t hold back with Wage War. Opening with “Godspeed”, “Teeth” and “High Horse”, they absolutely didn’t hold back. Zero 9:36 even came out to sing “Manic” towards the end of the set. This was one heavy set.

Three Days Grace was up next and even though I was personally a huge fan of their former lead singer, Matt Walst does not disappoint. I highly recommend checking them out. Starting the show off with their new hit single “So Called Life”. With Matt Walst utilizing the entire stage to his advantage. Bassist, Brad Walst is also very entertaining walking all over the stage as well. High up on a riser, Drummer Neil Sanderson does some backing vocals as well. You can’t forget Guitarist, Barry Stock either. He loves throwing out guitar pics after almost every song. “Animal I Have Become” was 2nd on the set list. Then a throw back classic in “Home” was after that. Towards the middle of the show they slowed it down just a bit with “The High Road” acoustic and “World So Cold” acoustic. Then hit it off huge with “Just Like You”. Ending their show with the all time favorite “I Hate Everything About You”. Or so we though, 2 more songs as their encore with “Never Too Late” and “Riot”. Great show by Three Days Grace.
