The Mowgli’s are one of the rare Southern California bands that have a knack for channeling the spunky sounds of indie pop along with the rootsy traditions associated with the city’s rich musical history. …The song radiates with positive vibes and shines brightly as a song that will be heard as the summer approaches.”
-Daniel Kohn, PUREVOLUME.COM (June 9, 2016)
After a powerful, sold-out hometown show at The Troubadour in Los Angeles (6/8), THE MOWGLI’S continue their spring U.S tour with an appearance at Make Music Pasadena Festival(Saturday, June 11; 4:20p set time)–alongside Atlas Genius, James Supercave and Bear Hands–as well as additional festivals all summer long (see dates below). The group have premiered the lyric video for their new song “Freakin’ Me Out” available now on PUREVOLUME (here).
Frequently called “the quintessential California band,” THE MOWGLI’S–known for their laid-back mix of sunny West Coast pop, garage rock and 60’s Laurel Canyon folk sound–are currently in the studio with producer Mike Green (All Time Low, Paramore) putting the finishing touches on their as-yet-untitled third album that’s due out this fall on Photo Finish Records. The album’s first single “Freakin’ Me Out” is now available at iTunes now.

THE MOWGLI’S (pronounced: moe glees) uplifting, indie-rock and universal message of positivity and love resonate with audiences all over the world. Their debut album Waiting for the Dawn (Photo Finish Records) premiered at #4 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and yielded the group their first hit song “San Francisco.” Their sophomore album Kids In Love included the feel-right summer song “I’m Good,” originally written for an anti-bullying campaign. Following Kids In Love, they released two fan favorite songs: “Summertime”–one the group’s highest playing songs on Spotify–and “Room For All Of Us,” a song released in support of the refugee-relief organization, International Rescue Committee.
Notably, the six-piece Los Angeles-based group’s hit track “San Francisco” was just featured in trailers for the new TV series “ROADIES” which premieres on SHOWTIME Sunday, June 26 (10p.m. ET/PT). Watch THE MOWGLI’S song “San Francisco” on the new trailer for “ROADIES” (here).
