DAVE MASON–Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and TRAFFIC co-founding member–will make a special appearance at The GRAMMY Museum® in downtown Los Angeles on Tuesday, September 16. Presented by American Express®, “An Evening With Dave Mason” will feature MASON discussing his musical journey which spans over 37 years encompassing producing, performing, songwriting and being considered one of rock’s great guitar players, along with a brief acoustic performance. GRAMMY Museum’s Clive Davis Theater will play host to 200 lucky fans as they join MASON and host Scott Goldman, Vice President of The GRAMMY Foundation and MusiCares, to discuss MASON’s songwriting process, beginnings in the band TRAFFIC, acclaimed solo career, current touring project “Dave Mason’s Traffic Jam,” his latest release, FUTURE’S PAST (released May 13, 2014) and much more.

The GRAMMY Museum® event will kick off a string of tour dates in California for MASON’s current “Dave Mason’s Traffic Jam” tour including: 9/17 at the Smothers Theatre in Malibu, CA, 9/18 at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, CA, 9/20 at Richard & Karen Carpenter PAC in Long Beach, CA, 9/24 at the Sunset Center Theater in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA, 9/26 at the Theatre Deville in Vacaville, CA, 9/27 at the Uptown Theatre in Napa, CA, 9/30 and 10/1 & 10/2 at the Carriage House Theatre, Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga, CA. MASON is earning accolades on the road for the Traffic Jam tour whichkicked offJanuary 3 in Atlantic City, NJand will continue through the rest of the year (see below for full list of dates). MASON has been touring and recording regularly since he co-founded Traffic in 1966, after which he went on to a successful and acclaimed solo career as well as recording and/or touring with artists including Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones, George Harrison, Delaney & Bonnie, Graham Nash, Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Fleetwood Mac and more.
