Symphony of Change Brings Music Ensemble to Chicagoland

CHICAGO, IL (August 27, 2021) – The Symphony of Change Citywide Music Program is an opportunity for young musicians ages 15 to 18 to showcase their talent and receive valuable education and resources from some innovative music educators in the industry. Youth from various schools, upon an audition process, will be able to participate in a seasonal symphonic or jazz ensemble.

The audition deadline is August 27th. Students can submit a 1 minute video of themselves playing a solo piece of their choice. Students will audition for one of the proposed ensembles. Those that are selected will meet once a week for rehearsal, and perform with the ensemble at various concerts and recordings. They will be provided with an atmosphere dedicated to honing their craft as musicians, and developing their essential leadership ethics. The program aims to give each performer the tools they need to be industry innovators. Symphony of Change is partnering with Columbia College Chicago to bring this experience to the heart of the city. Columbia College Chicago is utilizing their music and audio arts department for the partnership. This will include a recording of the students, which will then be distributed through our label Quiet Kingdom Recordings.
