REVIEW – INGLORIOUS are five young men who have a shared passion and admiration for two long-running tentpoles of hard rock music: powerful guitar riffs and soulful vocals. INGLORIOUS  was formed in February 2014 and is led by Nathan James, who rose to prominence after singing for the multi-platinum selling Trans-Siberian Orchestra and legendary Scorpions guitarist Uli Jon Roth. Nathan was seeking for like-minded artists that set out to make fantastic rock music in an authentic way. The group’s self-titled first album gained critical and public praise. The band’s second album, “II,” was warmly regarded as well, and it was followed by their third album, “Ride To Nowhere.” Their fourth studio album, “We Will Ride,” was published in February 2021 and charted in the UK, US, and numerous European nations. It was followed in September 2021 by a covers album, “Heroine,” which generated the same successes as its predecessor.

“MMXXI Live At The Phoenix,” is the very first live album from INGLORIOUS. This performance was recorded in September 2021 at Exeter Phoenix in Exeter, UK, and is scheduled for release on CD/DVD, LP, Blu-ray, and Digital on April 8, 2022. The performance captures the British hard rockers unleashed onstage after being confined at home and unable to travel due to the global pandemic, as were many other bands. As a powerful live band already, the adrenaline rush of being released from a cage allows for a breathtaking musical performance of compositions from their four studio albums, Inglorious, II, Ride To Nowhere and We Will Ride as well as their latest studio album, Heroine.

To kick off ‘MMXXI Live At The Phoenix’, “She Won’t Let You Go” from the 2021 album ‘We Will Ride’ will have the audience chanting, singing, and shouting. “Messiah,” the second track on 2021’s “We Will Ride,” is an extremely catchy melody that stays in your head for days after hearing it. Screaming guitars, shredding riffs, soaring vocals, and thunderous rhythms fill the next song “Breakaway” from Inglorious’ self-titled 2016 album. Next up is “Where Are You Now,” a live version of the killer song from “Ride to Nowhere” in 2019. The next track on ‘MMXXI Live At The Phoenix’ is one of the most banging’ tunes “Read All About It.” The following song, “Barracuda,” is a rockin’ live rendition of the HEART classic.

From ‘Inglorious,’ the following song “Holy Water” will make you feel chills down your spine. “He Will Provide,” from 2021’s “We Will Ride,” is another captivating melody that really draws you in. “I Don’t Need Your Loving” from 2017’s ‘II’ is the next song, so shut your eyes and let your mind go wild. “We Will Ride” is a tremendous emotive song and vocals that simply engulf you. To close ‘MMXXI Live At The Phoenix’, INGLORIOUS performs “Until I Die” from their 2016 album, ‘Inglorious’.
