French Touch producer/DJ and conceptual artist ETIENNE DE CRECY is launching his U.S. DJ tour tonight in NYC. The select run of club dates, which also include stops in Salt Lake City, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston and Miami this month, are in support of his new album Super Discount 3 which is out now onUltra Music.

Enticing music lovers who are particularly fond of the cheeky electro infused house music styles coming out of the Parisian music scene (Daft Punk, Cassius), he’ll highlight material from Super Discount 3 alongside his back catalogue and some of his other favorite cuts. Songs included on SUPER DISCOUNT 3 are “You” featuring vocals by Madeline Follin (Cults), a sexy track with its bell-like and Moroder-style synths,, “Night (Cut The Crap)” and “Hashtag My Ass” plus contributions from De La Soul’s Pos & Dave on “WTF,” “Smile” with French Touch comrade Alex Gopher, Tom Burke of Citizens! on “Sunset,” American artist Kilo Kish on “Fellow” and U.K. indie rock musician Baxter Dury on “Family.”

In the 90s, ETIENNE DE CRÉCY was the guiding hand behind the albums Super Discount (1997) and Super Discount 2 (2004), featuring contributions from French mainstays Alex Gopher, Air, Cassius and DJ Mehdi. Along with Philippe Zdar, future member of Cassius, he also formed the legendary duo Motorbass, whose 1995 album Pansoul was a seminal work of the emergent French Touch, confirming the credentials of French house.
For more information, ETIENNE DE CRECY teamed with director Dimitri Paihle and writer/DJ Bill Brewster (“Last Night A DJ Saved My Life”) to create a short documentary about the history and creation of the Super Discount series.
