“‘Leaves’ is the opening track of the album and immediately brings the ambient kind of breeze and updated soundscape to listeners’ ears,” explain the band. “The song has strong forward-going nature but it has a lot of air with laid-back and beautiful moments as well. It’s about letting go, which is not easy, but sometimes can also be so beautiful.”
Extremely melodic and super-catchy tunes wrapped in brutal guitars, heavy drums, and husky vocals, Your Highness is a combination of Finnish-Swedish production. The album was recorded by Juho Räihä (SoundSpiral Audio), and mixed and mastered by Henrik Udd (Henrik Udd Recording Studios).
The album is available in CD and LP formats, as well as a limited deluxe edition boxset. With this new album, Bloodred Hourglass establish themselves again as one of the leaders of the new melodic death metal scene, in the old tradition, but with a modern touch that gives them the legitimacy to take up the torch held by In Flames, Children of Bodom and other mighty godfathers of the scene.
