BREAKING BENJAMIN Put On Mega Show with CHEVELLE, THREE DAYS GRACE, DOROTHY, and DIAMANTE at Dos Equis Pavillion

September 10th, live from Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas Texas was a mega show with a great line-up. Breaking Benjamin brought Chevelle, Three Days Grace, Dorothy and Diamante with them on this fantastic night of rock.

First up was DIAMANTE. Led by Diamante herself, not only does she prove her vocal talents on stage with strength, range, and power, she has the bold look and beauty to match, but not overshadow her sound. Their sound was a mix of New Years Day and Joan Jett. THat great rock sound with some fantastic flair. They didn’t disappoint in opening this massive show up.

Next was another female fronted band, DOROTHY. Another female fronted band who proves that their lead vocalist is more than a beautiful stage prop. She commands your attention from the start. Just her walking out and her flowing coat. Just mesmerizing, then the band plays and doesn’t disappoint either. Great musicians and vocals. Definitely not a bad way to open a show with these 2 bands.

Next up was a band I would imagine most people are familiar with, THREE DAYS GRACE. I hadn’t seen them live since their former lead singer had left the band. I was definitely curious how it would be without him. With the Texas summer sun setting as they started. The heat was absolutely picking up. But that didn’t stop them from putting on a show and honestly, Matt didn’t disappoint. Of course, it was different hearing the classics like, “Break”, “I Hate Everything About You” and “Home” but it wasn’t bad either. They definitely can still bring it. Their newer music, Infra-red and The Mountain held up with the classics as well. Great showing by these guys.

Next up was a band I have loved since they first came on the scene. CHEVELLE was set and ready to entertain us one more time. Pete and the boys aren’t as flashy as some of the other bands but with the massive hits like “Hat’s Off To The Bull”, Take Out The Gunman” and “Vitamin R” you don’t need it. They’re set was pretty interesting with some giant mirrors set up behind each member. Lighting was spectacular and their sound was on point as always. Chevelle is and always has been one of my favorite bands to watch live. They never disappoint. Make sure to catch these guys next time they come around.

Next up was the main event of the evening. The one and only, BREAKING BENJAMIN. The crowd went ABSOLUTELY crazy for the guys. The pyro, the smoke, and the musicianship left show-goers with priceless memories without a doubt. Everything was so on point. Starting the show with “Red Cold River” going into “I Will Not Bow” to “Never Again”. then about half way through their set you get a medley of absolute amazingness! Starting with “The Imperial March” into Cowboys from Hell to Smells Like Teen Spirit to Bohemian Rhapsody to Enter Sandman to Bulls on Parade to an epic drum solo! They could have ended there and I’d have been happy…If you were in the crowd, you know what I am talking about. The continued on with 10 more songs, including “Sooner or Later”, “So Cold” and ending with “The Diary of Jane”. This was one epic setlist I am more than happy I had the honor of seeing live. I personally can’t wait til these guys are back!
