BIG GIGANTIC
ANNOUNCES SUPPORT ACTS FOR
“ROWDYTOWN III”

SAVOY, THE NEW DEAL, DVBBS, CAKED UP, THE FLOOZIES,
HEROBUST AND TRIPPY TURTLE
TO APPEAR AT THE THIRD ANNUAL EVENT
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26 AND SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27
AT RED ROCKS AMPHITHEATRE

Today  (5/20), BIG GIGANTIC revealed the support acts for their annual hometown show “ROWDYTOWN,” set for Friday, September 26 and Saturday, September 27 at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. The third annual event—which has expanded to two days in 2014–will feature different lineups for each night, offering fans an even bigger party this year. Supporting BIG GIGANTIC on Friday, September 26 will be Brooklyn-based electro-house trio Savoy, Canadian electronic music duo DVBBS, Kansas-based brother duo The Floozies and two tweener sets from producer/DJ Trippy Turtle; Saturday’s lineup will feature the newly reunited Toronto trio The New Deal, hip-hop duo Caked Up, Atlanta-based electronic producer HeRobust and another two tweener sets from Trippy Turtle.

These artists join a growing list of exciting up-and-coming talent BIG GIGANTIC has brought out in previous years such as Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Dillon Francis, GRiZ and Raw Russ in 2012 and Adventure Club, Carnage and Manic Focus in 2013. Debuting in 2012 to a sold-out crowd of more than 9,450 fans and voted the #1 EDM show of that year by the Westword, ROWDYTOWN I marked the first time an artist ever used projection mapping visuals on the venue’s famous rocks. The second installment used even bigger lighting rigs and twice the projection mapping, with Stan Shkrobor from EDMTUNES.COM calling the show’s visuals “the you-gotta-see-it-to-believe-it projection mapping!” (10/1/13). Expect to see even more projection mapping on the rocks for the third year! Watch a video recap from “Rowdytown II” here: http://vimeo.com/76547872

To get hyped for Rowdytown, saxophonist/producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken will spend the summer hitting up various festivals across the country including Bonnaroo (teaming up with Skrillex to be a part of and act as Musical Director of his Superjam), Mysteryland USA, Spring Awakening, Firefly Music Festival, The Hudson Project, The Peach Music Festival and many more along with numerous dates at the Mad Decent Block Party. See below for full list of tour dates.

BIG GIGANTIC released their latest album THE NIGHT IS YOUNG on February 11 for free via their website www.biggigantic.net, which already has logged over 70,000 downloads to date. The album debuted at #10 on the Dance/Electronic Album and #18 on the Heatseekers Album Billboard charts, respectively, as well as reaching #2 on the iTunes Electronic chart upon its release. An eclectic mix of tracks that span genres from electronic and dance to hip hop and electro soul, the 8-song album—their fifth overall—includes “Touch The Sky,” a blazing instrumental that made its debut in late 2013 to critical acclaim throughout the blogosphere, as well as the crushing dubstep song “Lets Go!,” the dazzling sax-hooked track “Just For The Thrill” and velvety number “Shooting Stars.” The album also features the title track and party anthem “The Night Is Young” featuring vocals from their friends Cherub (Jordan Kelly and Jason Huber). The song’s video—which debuted via RollingStone.com–can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEfBv4POfik&feature=youtu.be
