REVIEW – The Maryland-based quartet NIGHT WALKS has made an impressive entry with their two new singles, “Sidelines” and “Rather Hide.” Formed amidst the challenges of the late 2020 pandemic, Night Walks has successfully merged diverse influences to create a unique sound.
“Sidelines” is a synth-based melody echoing the cosmic vibes of DAVID BOWIE, captivating listeners with a bass line intertwined with dreamy, gripping lyrics. On the other hand, “Rather Hide” begins with dynamic drum rhythms that smoothly transition into serene guitar strums, conveying a narrative of longing and a search for belonging.
These tracks not only showcase NIGHT WALKS’ creative versatility but also provide a tantalizing preview of the style and energy we can anticipate from their upcoming debut album.
