NASHVILLE, Tenn. (April 11, 2023) – Memories of Honor, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Nashville is preparing for the 8th annual Honor the Fallen 5K, set for Saturday, May 13 at The Grove in College Grove, Tennessee. The honorary 5K event is an opportunity for the community to honor and show respect for fallen veterans and their families. MOH is currently seeking volunteers, donors and sponsors for the May 13 event which typically draws several hundred participants every year. HTF5K is not “just another 5K”. It’s a community event to bring together families of the fallen, veterans, and civilians in a healing environment to honor our fallen service members to honor, heal, and connect. Memories of Honor strongly believe that our fallen and their families deserve to be honored, remembered, and recognized more than one day per year. This is why our mission is to make every day Memorial Day.

HTF5K uniquely fosters patriotism and gratitude where participants wear a Fallen Hero Memorial Bib containing the name of a fallen US service member. Many of the families of the fallen are on hand to meet the participants.Â
HTF5K will also feature a songwriter round post race, hosted by country recording artist & Marine veteran Adam Warner and Army veteran, Mark Addison Chandler.Â

9:00am â HTF5K race start
10:00am â HTF5K awards
10:10am â Passing of The Flag Ceremony
10:20am â Memorial Mile start

We honor our fallen military and the families they leave behind through athletics, entertainment, and special events to help heal the unseen wounds of war. We act as a living, breathing memorial so that no American fallen military sacrifice is forgotten.
WHO WE ARE
We are a national 501(c)(3) military nonprofit based in Franklin, TN. Our leadership team and advisory board are composed of military family members, veterans, and Gold Star Family members.
OUR NAME
Formerly known as Medals of Honor, which was initially named for the symbolic act of sacrificing oneâs endurance/sports participation medal in honor & memory of a fallen service member. Memories of Honor fully encompasses our evolving mission to create a living, breathing memorial through sports and special events so that no sacrifice goes forgotten.
