One of the “Big Four” made their way to Dallas Texas on their 40th anniversary tour. Bringing along the man, Zakk Wylde & Black Label Society and Hatebreed. Sadly hours before the show Anthrax had to cancel their performance. That didn’t stop the show though. As BLS and Hatebreed made up for the mighty Anthrax’s absence.
Hatebreed started out the night. They are full of energy and feed off of the audience participation. Within the first few minutes crowd surfers were flying into the pit. Circle pits were erupting right before our eyes. Playing a few more songs then originally planned to make up for the extra time. Fans in attendance got a bit more than they expected. Always a fun and chaotic show with Hatebreed in town.
Next up was, and I guess in this instance, headliner for the night was Black Label Society. I would imagine most know Zakk Wylde as Ozzy Osbourne’s guitarist but this man and his band are way more than just that. playing a massive 2+ hour set you were in for one hell of a heavy metal night.
Not only the mind-blowing shredding of Zakk Wylde and Dario Lorina but the whole band is on point. When Zakk Wylde wasn’t behind the mic he would step forward and whip his hair around and shred loike no-one else. Hitting all the favorites like “Funeral Bell”, “Suicide Messiah” and “Stillborn”. Absolutely impressive show with The Doom Crew and Zakk Wylde
