“‘Peace=Madness’ is a sonic painting of anxiety, an alt-rock and hip-hop haze releasing the fears and doubts that arise”

LOS ANGELES, CA (September 24, 2021) — Los Angeles-based genre-fusing band Love Ghost are as prolific as ever in terms of the singles they’ve been releasing. Out today, along with a music video is “Peace=Madness.” Written in a stream of consciousness, “Peace=Madness” blends alternative rock with hip-hop ballad elements capturing the ebb and flow of daily life.
“Peace = Madness and joy = sadness is about how duality lives in everything and how when everyone leaves, you’re just stuck with yourself,” says Finnegan Bell, frontman of Love Ghost. “I tend to look outside myself for the perfect life to live, but at the end of the day, I’m always still just me.”
Earlier this month, Flaunt Magazine raved that “one listen of Love Ghost and you’re immediately transported into their world…with their sound transcending the genres of rock, grunge, pop, and even lo-fi bedroom hip-hop, each release is jam-packed with emotion, passion, and authenticity” In July, the band’s single “Wolfsbane” caught the attention of Rolling Stone.
“The new music that’s coming from Love Ghost is just our storytelling of the things happening in our lives at the moment,” says Bell. “These songs, to me, are really all threaded together by time. We are in an insane period of history, and therefore we are writing some insane music.”
Love Ghost — composed of Bell (lead vocals, guitar), Ryan Stevens (bass, backing vocals), Daniel Alcala (guitar, engineer backing vocals), Samson Young (drums, backing vocals), and Cory Batchler (keys, backing vocals) — is known for their hyper-expressive songs.
