AEW Collision continued the road toward All Out with an action-packed episode from the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas. Taped following the September 2 edition of Dynamite, the show featured championship action, several developing rivalries and the AEW tag team debut of the Motor City Machine Guns.

The Young Bucks vs. Brian Cage & Jake Doyle

The Young Bucks opened the night against Brian Cage and Jake Doyle of the Don Callis Family. Cage and Doyle used their power to control portions of the match, but Matt and Nick Jackson eventually found their rhythm and connected with the BTE Trigger for the victory.

Hangman Adam Page & Brodido vs. Braddah Kaimi, LBJ & Vin Parker

Hangman Adam Page teamed with Brody King and Bandido for a dominant six-man performance. The trio made relatively quick work of their opponents in a match designed primarily to showcase the three fan favorites.

Nick Wayne vs. Komander

Two of AEW’s most athletic young stars delivered a fast-paced matchup, with Nick Wayne ultimately putting Komander away with the Prodigy Plex.

The bigger story came afterward when Chris Jericho confronted Wayne. Jericho initially raised Wayne’s hand before suddenly dropping him with the Judas Effect, continuing the issues between the two from Dynamite.

Persephone vs. VertVixen

TBS Championship

Persephone successfully defended the TBS Championship against VertVixen with a Crucifix Bomb.

Afterward, Britt Baker joined Persephone in attacking VertVixen until Maya World and Thunder Rosa made the save, continuing to build several new directions within AEW’s women’s division.

Motor City Machine Guns vs. The Swirl

One of the biggest attractions of Collision saw Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin compete together in an AEW ring for the first time.

The Motor City Machine Guns showed the chemistry that has made them one of wrestling’s most respected tag teams, defeating Blake Christian and Lee Johnson with the Pendulum Slam.

Winners: Motor City Machine Guns

Their arrival adds yet another established team to an already loaded AEW tag team division.

Andrade El Ídolo vs. Gabe Kidd

AEW National Championship

Andrade and Gabe Kidd delivered one of the hardest-hitting matches of the night with the National Championship on the line.

Kidd pushed the champion throughout the match, but Andrade ultimately connected with The DM to retain his title.

Afterward, Andrade made it clear that he isn’t in any hurry to use his guaranteed AEW World Championship opportunity, leaving another potential threat hanging over new World Champion Will Ospreay.

Athena vs. Isla Dawn

ROH Women’s World Championship Proving Ground Match

Isla Dawn attempted to earn herself a future ROH Women’s World Championship opportunity, but Athena continued her dominant run by putting Dawn away with the O-Face before the 10-minute time limit expired.

Kyle Fletcher & Kevin Knight vs. Bang Bang Gang

Main Event

Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight took on Juice Robinson and Ace Austin of the Bang Bang Gang. This might be 4 of the next HUGE stars in AEW. Everyone really laid in the hits through this whole match.

Despite continued tension between Fletcher and Knight, the Don Callis Family representatives managed to coexist long enough to get the job done. Knight connected with the UFO Splash on Austin to secure the victory.

Winners: Kyle Fletcher & Kevin Knight

Their problems weren’t exactly solved, however, as the two continued trying to one-up each other during their post-match celebration.

Final Thoughts

Collision served as a solid follow-up to Dynamite while continuing AEW’s build toward All Out.

The Motor City Machine Guns making their AEW tag team debut was one of the night’s biggest highlights, while Andrade and Gabe Kidd delivered one of the strongest matches on the card. Chris Jericho and Nick Wayne continued making their rivalry more personal, and the women’s division received plenty of attention throughout the show.
