TIM McGRAW introduced a new chapter in March 2023 with the release of “Standing Room Only,” the title track from what would become his 17th studio album for Big Machine Records.
Written by Craig Wiseman, Tommy Cecil and Patrick Murphy, the single was produced by McGraw with longtime collaborator Byron Gallimore. The song centers on gratitude, perspective and the idea of living with purpose while there is still time to make a difference.
A NEW ERA FOR TIM McGRAW
The release followed McGraw’s 2022 touring cycle and arrived as the country star began rolling out new music for the project that would ultimately become Standing Room Only. The title track became the first major look at the album and continued McGraw’s long run of emotionally direct, message-driven songs.
At the time of release, McGraw described the song as life-affirming and rooted in gratitude rather than loss. That perspective placed “Standing Room Only” alongside some of his best-known reflective material while signaling the tone of the album to come.
