EP Where Dreamers Fall Coming Autumn 2026
“The entire 5-song EP Where Dreamers Fall is essentially a ‘Car EP’ – I tracked the core vocals and guitars in my Ford Freestyle during lunch breaks. Being a new father of twins, that was the only way I could make progress on my songs at all. At home, it was nonstop, and no time for music. So while me belting it out in my vehicle may conjure up images of Tenacious D singing in a photo booth to comedic effect, it was a very real thing to me, with many obstacles, and it took a long time to arrive at the finished product that I felt was worthy to release. What you hear on the final version still has those car-recorded vocals and guitar tracks, polished by Matt Dougherty into absolute quality releases. – Brian Hunsaker

“‘Lie To You’ reflects on a relationship where communication has completely broken down on both sides. It explores that moment when honesty is no longer received well, and you resort to lies simply to avoid confrontationâonly to realize that it’s deepening the disconnect. Ultimately, itâs about how avoiding difficult truths feels easier in the moment, but itâs what ends up destroying a connection completely.” – Brian Hunsaker

The “Car EP”: A Story of Resilience
Brian Hunsaker kicked the door open on the independent metal scene with his debut single, âHaunted,â a track immediately celebrated by critics as a âmelodic heavy metal juggernautâ and a âlost gem from rockâs golden age, reforged for the modern stage.â
The singleâs global reception quickly established Hunsakerâs artistic identity, with No Transmission hailing him as a âguitar sorcerer, riff-slayer, and vocal conjurer.â This acclaim echoed across the press, as outlets such as Edgar Allan Poets and Rock Era Magazine praised the songâs fusion of razor-sharp modern precision with classic power.
Defined by this balance of timeless musicianship and modern intensity, Hunsaker continues to earn features in major international publications and on industry-connected platforms. His work has been spotlighted in the globally distributed TJPL News Magazine, legendary indie outlet The Big Takeover, the UK’s Fireworks Magazine, and on the Metal Madness Weekly podcast, a show heard in over 170 countries with ties to industry giants like Nuclear Blast Records.

The project was born from a period of immense change and challenge. After a two-year musical silence spent focusing on life as a new father to twin toddlers, the sudden passing of his best friendâthe very person who put a guitar in his hands in high schoolâbecame the profound catalyst for his return to music. To prepare his voice for the demanding new material, Hunsaker began dedicated training with vocal coach Susan Carr. With his instrument honed but no access to a traditional studio, the car became his sanctuaryâa place to process grief and record his powerful return.
A History in the Seattle Scene
âLong before the Car EP, Brian Hunsaker built a formidable reputation in the Seattle music scene. His original instrumental album, Across the Galaxy, showcased his virtuosic guitar work and garnered rave reviews from both online and print publications (view archived press here). He brought the albumâs intricate compositions to the stage with his band Triaxe, performing to enthusiastic crowds at venues across the Pacific Northwest.
His role in the popular Dio tribute band Stand Up & Shout, along with his work as a co-producer of the NW ShredFest series, further cemented his standing in the community. His viral holiday metal parodies even earned airplay on legendary rock station 99.9 KISW. This career-long dedication to the craft has led to endorsements from respected brands including esteemed audio software developer Voxengo, McNaught Guitars, Jim Wagner Pickups, Stedman, and DR Strings.
The Evolution
Now based in Plano, TX, Brian Hunsaker continues to push his sound forward, blending the hard rock and melodic metal influences of his past with a newfound lyrical depth and emotional honesty. The music of Where Dreamers Fall, mixed by acclaimed producer Matt Dougherty (Megadeth, Disturbed, Staind), captures this transformationâa powerful, cinematic, and deeply human statement from an artist proving that the most profound music often emerges from the most unexpected places.
