SONO Music is thrilled to announce the release of “CURA”, the latest single from Italian singer and guitarist CARRESE. This new track is the third of the three singles chosen to preview her upcoming EP “Crisalide”, set to be released in May 2025.
CARRESE, also known as Roberta Carrese, is a talented singer-songwriter born in 1994 in Rome, Italy. Growing up as the youngest of five siblings, she was inspired by her father’s guitar and started her musical journey at a young age. At only 19, she moved to Rome to pursue her artistic calling, leaving her hometown in the province of Caserta behind. Her early years in the capital proved to be crucial for her career, as she performed in various live shows and had significant encounters with other artists.
In 2015, CARRESE reached the second place in the third season of The Voice of Italy, a popular talent show broadcasted on Rai2, which gave her national visibility. After her TV experience, she dedicated herself to a busy concert schedule all over Italy. In 2017, she graduated in Cinema, TV, and New Media, and then focused on writing her first music project.
After a difficult period due to a heart surgery in September 2022, CARRESE released her first EP “Valvola”, preceded by the single “Squali” ft. Gemello. In the last two years, the artist has been working on new songs, experimenting with a new sound alongside producer Vincenzo Pizzi, founder of Pyteca. The result is a six-track EP titled “Crisalide”, characterized by electronic sounds. The release of this new project is scheduled for May 2025 under SONO Music Group.
Commenting on her new single “CURA”, CARRESE said, “I’ll take you where colors mix with pitch black.” Her lyrics, combined with a sophisticated sound choice, make for an intimate and reflective listening experience.
