NASHVILLE, TN (October 8, 2021) — X-Ennials — the native Nashville alternative-rock band — have released their sophomore single, “Don’t Go It Alone,” from forthcoming two-part pandemic-themed album, Senseless American Tragedy. “Don’t Go It Alone” brings back 90s’ rock sonics to comment on the first stage of healing from losing a loved one from Covid-19.
“The song is meant to be a message for immediately after the moment of this tragic loss,” says Anthony Davis, the frontman of X-Ennials who recently served as a Nashville City councilman. “You must move forward, but you don’t have to go it alone. You may have lost your partner, but their message to you is to hold onto their memory, but don’t look back, move forward — you are not alone.”
Produced by Bobby Holland and Adam Bokesh [The Daybreaks] at Pentavarit Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, the album — Senseless American Tragedy out Friday, October 29 — guides listeners through the motions of battling Covid-19 and recapping different sentiments individuals felt from start to present in the ongoing pandemic. The album features contingent commentary from the American people as well as the United States government.
