The band comment: “After years of waiting, we are super excited to release the first album single, ‘Cold’. This song hits you hard as hell, while keeping the Vomit the Soul classic groove; it’s a dark sound but catchy at the same time, as we like it. The short film was the best way to visualise our musical style and the story behind the track, explaining the transition from our first album cover Apostles of Inexpression, through to the new incredible Cold artwork done by the master Caelan Stokkermas. After the mystical rite done in 2009, our apostles are going to take over the wandering souls and the obscurity will rise with power and wickedness!”

Born in 2000, Vomit The Soul is the final product of an idea conjured up by three friends fascinated by everything concerning death metal.

With two EPs, one live album and many shows with the likes of Cripple Bastards, Genital Grinder and many more under their belts, the band inked a deal with NC based label Comatose Music for the release of their debut full length; Portraits of Inhuman Abominations.

Reactions from listeners for Portraits of Inhumane Abominations were positive, earning them a strong following from extreme music fans and media worldwide. In support of the record, Vomit the Soul were invited to play some international death metal festivals like Ludwigshafen Deathfest, Neurotic Deathfest, Insane Insanity Deathfest, Undergrind Freakfest II, and shared the stage with bands from the likes of Necrophagist, Arsebreed, Impure, Gorerotted, Psycroptic, Insidious Decrepancy, Prostitute Disfigurement, Godless Truth, Napalm Death, and Carnal Decay.

Vomit The Soul‘s style soon evolved into something more complete, personal, groove-oriented, and more aggressive than ever. In 2008, the band completed recording their second album Apostles of Inexpression at 16th Cellar Studios in Rome. In the same year the band parted ways with Comatose Music and instead started their new journey with Unique Leader Records, releasing Apostles of Inexpression in 2009. Splitting up soon after the release, 2020 saw the band reunite with a new bassist: Stefano Rossi Ciucci (Bloodtruth, Instigate).

The band began writing a fresh album to mark Vomit The Soul‘s new era, titled Cold. The nine-track behemoth was mixed and mastered by the Italian sound sorcerer Stefano Morabito (Hour Of Penance, Eyeconoclast, Unfathomable Ruination, Bloodtruth), and bears the sinister artwork of the illustration master Caelan Stokkermas. Unique Leader Records will release Cold on 12th November 2021.
