UK’s WEAK13 are a 3-man low-tuned metal punk rock terror from the home of heavy metal – the Black Country. The group feature Nick J Townsend (vocals & guitar), Wesley Smith (bass player) and Neel Paramar (drums). Their debut studio album They Live was independently released late in 2015 and re-released on all major streaming services in 2017 with various singles following over the years. Nick J. Townsend is the longest official member of WEAK13 and first founded it in 1999 in the 13-letter town Kidderminster. Townsend and writing partner Wesley Smith relaunched the band in the Black Country in 2010.
The music of WEAK13 is inspired by world events, corrupt media, 80’s Video Nasties with a smattering of British comics, Underground music, the 90’s music scene and real life. Each song is a different story. All the guitars on recordings are played using strange dark low-tunings. WEAK13 is any style the band wants to be; every form of music in it’s rawest form. In short, there is a song for everyone!
