Heavy metal fan favorite, Trivium, has been gracing us with incredible riffs, powerful screams, and melodies since the late 90’s. Time and time again, Trivium produces music that every metal fan could ever want in an album. With their latest release of ‘What The Dead Men Say’, coinciding with their recent global live stream experience ‘A Light or a Distant Mirror’ – we just had to get Matt Heafy on #OffstagewithDWP to catch up and see what else he and the band are up to.

In this feature of Offstage with DWP, hear about Matt’s evolution in Twitch, and all about how his start in streaming music (side note… he streams A LOT, and you should 1000% subscribe to his Twitch channel: @matthewheafy). Matt goes in depth about feeding into his charity with the music therapy program at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and how the birth of his twins played a huge role in the inception of donating to the program. He also shares a fun story about his twins birth, having to leave one of Trivium’s biggest tours EVER at the time, tune in to hear more on that 😉

Trivium always wants to do the opposite of what’s been done in the past, and different than what they see is being done elsewhere. If you’ve been a loyal Trivium fan from the beginning, you can certainly attest to the uniqueness of every single song the band writes. Similarly, with the uproar in live music streaming events due to the novel COVID-19, Trivium recently released their own global live stream experience, ‘A Light or a Distant Mirror’ and we were fortunate enough to receive two songs from the stream, that we’ll be playing back for you all today on #OffstagewithDWP 🤘
