The award-winning musician, producer and entrepreneur Tom DeLonge is well-known as the lead vocalist and songwriter for the platinum-selling bands Blink-182 and Angels & Airwaves and founding multiple entertainment properties now under the moniker To The Stars…. DeLonge is currently the guitarist and lead vocalist of the rock band Angels & Airwaves and the guitarist and co-lead vocalist of Blink-182. DeLonge grew up in Poway, CA, where he embraced skateboarding and punk rock music at an early age. DeLonge received his first guitar shortly thereafter and began writing original punk rock songs. In high school, DeLonge formed Blink-182 with bassist Mark Hoppus and drummer Scott Raynor. Through independent releases and constant touring, the band created a following in the mid-1990s. They signed to MCA Records in 1996 and their second album, Dude Ranch (1997), featured the hit single “Dammit.” The follow-up Enema of the State (1999) featured three hit singles and went quadruple-platinum in the U.S., eventually selling upwards of 15 million copies worldwide. Blink-182 scored a #1 album with Take Off Your Pants and Jacket(2001). DeLonge went on to experiment with post-hardcore music in Box Car Racer, which released one chart-topping studio album and went out on a sold-out tour in 2002. Blink’s self-titled fifth album in 2003 reflected a change in tone within the group, which went on indefinite hiatus in 2005. DeLonge focused on Angels & Airwaves, which has since released five studio albums and three EP’s. In 2009, DeLonge released new music and toured frequently with Blink-182. In addition to his musical career, DeLonge is an accomplished entrepreneur managing multiple business ventures that he founded such as his current company To The Stars…. DeLonge was the executive producer, creator and composer for the critically acclaimed 2011 science-fiction film Love, and has multiple film projects in development. DeLonge recently expanded into writing and self-publishing, releasing two best-selling novels within his first year, Poet Anderson …Of Nightmares and Sekret Machines: Chasing Shadows.
