SONS OF ALPHA CENTAURI: No Echo Streams Fourth LP From Post-Hardcore Act Featuring Far And Will Haven Members; Album To Be Released Friday Via Exile On Mainstream Records

“…SONS OF ALPHA CENTAURI are firing on all cylinders these days…” – No Echo

No Echo is hosting an exclusive stream of Pull, the immersive fourth album from UK/US-based post-hardcore outfit SONS OF ALPHA CENTAURI, ahead of its official release later this week.

Having collaborated with the likes of Godflesh, Karma To Burn, Yawning Man, and members of Kyuss, ISIS, and Queens Of The Stone Age, SONS OF ALPHA CENTAURI – now fronted by cult emo icon vocalist Jonah Matranga from post-hardcore legends Far and Gratitude – delivered one the most critically acclaimed alternative metal albums of 2021 with Push. Now, SONS OF ALPHA CENTAURI’s Pull arrives, capturing both a renaissance of 1990s post-hardcore and a future take on atmospheric dream metal. The band is once again joined by drummer Mitch Wheeler – the percussive powerhouse and backbone of Will Haven and founding member of Ghostride and The Abominable Iron Sloth – who together with guitarist Marlon King and bassist Nick Hannon bring a formidable hard rock foundation for Matranga’s emotional and ethereal overlay.

Pull depicts the essence of Around The Fur-era Deftones, the simplicity of Water And Solutions-era Far, and the integrity of Will Haven’s Carpe Diem, the hypnotic and harmonic pulse of the music and the soaring introspective power of Jonah’s wrought, raw vocals provide an ever-emotional journey that sees new peaks in performance for all involved.

Pull was recorded by Lance Jackman of Deftones and Joe Johnson at Pus Cavern Studios in Sacramento (Deftones, Dance Gavin Dance, Will Haven), engineered and mixed by Dan Lucas, and mastered by Nick Zampiello at New Alliance East Mastering (Cave In, Converge, Pelican, ISIS).

Nick Hannon states, “We are really proud of the new album, and it feels like we’ve matured and evolved into this record. We’ve created more space, depth, and emotion on this album, and unlike its predecessor, it has been composed and delivered with a single lineup; that is really captured on this album and we’re immensely proud of what we have created. This has gone from a collaboration into a whole new band. We hope that people sense the uniqueness of what we’re doing here and soak it up. We want to reflect on the past and feel a sense of moving into the future with this record. Let Pull pull you in!”

No Echo writes, “Bringing to mind the propulsive and soaring sounds of ’90s and ’00s post-hardcore, SONS OF ALPHA CENTAURI are firing on all cylinders these days thanks to their solidified lineup, something they didn’t have going into their previous release. The winning results can be heard on the quartet’s forthcoming fourth album, Pull.”

Listen to SONS OF ALPHA CENTAURI’s entire Pull LP first courtesy of No Echo now at THIS LOCATION.

Exile On Mainstream will release Pull on LP with a bundled CD and all digital platforms this Thursday, March 28th. All preorders will receive two free posters from a series of four – the label will carry two, and the artist will carry the other two. Preorders and presaves can be found HERE.

“Like Push, these new songs find SONS OF ALPHA CENTAURI really leaning into the spacey, atmospheric post-hardcore that Far and Will Haven are best known for, and Jonah’s voice suits this kind of stuff with the same soaring sense of urgency that it did in the ’90s.” – BrooklynVegan

“While the core identity of SOAC can be defined as post-metal, the band’s sound plays around with tons of genres and aims for heavy, emotional driven songs backed by meaty riffs. The melodic vocals from Jonah bring even more to the table and it all fits so well you’d swear he’s always been with them. If I were to describe it to someone, I’d just go with really damn cool as that’s the gist of it, but I’ll try my best to encourage you to hit that play button.” – Everything Is Noise
