As RIVAL SONS gear up to support Black Sabbath on their worldwide final tour, the Long Beach, CA band’scover of Humble Pie’s “Black Coffee” has been selected as the “Coolest Song in the World” on SiriusXM’s “Little Steven’s Underground Garage” for the week of January 11th. It is also is featured as “Coolest Song In The World” on the terrestrial radio syndicated program “Little Steven’s Underground Garage” carried in over 200 markets. “Black Coffee” is a highlight of the band’s 2-Disc Tour Edition of their critically acclaimed 2014 album, GREAT WESTERN VALKYRIE; the expanded edition was released October 16, 2015 via Earache. Upon its initial release, the band’s fourth LP GREAT WESTERN VALKYRIE stormed onto the charts around the world and was rated the #1 album of 2014 by Classic Rock magazine. In addition to supporting Black Sabbath, who handpicked the band for the opening slot, RIVAL SONS will also perform select headlining shows throughout 2016 (see full tour itinerary below).
Formed in 2008, the electrifying rock quartet has supported their four albums with worldwide headlining tours and has landed key support slots for such artists as AC/DC, Aerosmith, Alice Cooper, Judas Priest, KISS, Slash, Lenny Kravitz and Sammy Hagar. They’ve alsorocked out on some of the world’s biggest stages at festivals such as Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park (Germany), Isle of Wight Festival (UK), Download Festival (UK), Sonisphere (Switzerland) and T in the Park (Scotland). In 2015, they performed with Deep Purple and Halestorm on tour. RIVAL SONS have also performed live on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Show With David Letterman and LATER…with Jools Holland (BBC flagship music show).
