Founded in 1979, the French heavy metal cult band NIGHTMARE have been an integral part of the European metal scene for more than three decades. The band released eleven studio albums acclaimed by fans and press and toured worldwide, played at some of the biggest metal festivals such as Wacken, Hellfest, 70,000 Tons Of Metal, Motocultor Open Air or Gods Of Metal and supported the likes of Def Leppard, Sabaton, Saxon, Grave Digger and Blind Guardian. In 2020, NIGHTMARE released their latest album, Aeternam, via AFM Records. At the end of 2022, the band parted ways with singer Madie and welcomes exceptional voice Barbara Mogore to their ranks!

“The fact that Barbara joined us in September 2022, and immediately started with live performances such as the Full Metal Holiday in Mallorca (October 2022), 70000 Tons Of Metal in January 2023 and an extensive European tour together with labelmates Rhapsody Of Fire in spring 2023, has brought us to new highlights and goals.” Says bassist and founding member Yves Campion. “Now we’re back in the studio recording what is arguably our most ambitious album to date, which will take Nightmare to new horizons. Be ready to expect the unexpected!”

Today, NIGHTMARE present Barbara’s debut in a re-recorded version of “Eternal Winter”, originally released on her 2009 album Insurrection. The song is now available on all digital platforms via https://nightmare.bfan.link/eternal-winter, you can watch the new NIGHTMARE video here:

The band comments: “We are excited to present you our new music video!
We decided to take an old Nightmare classic and re-record it in the studio with Barbara to give this track a different mood, a new musical approach and a new dimension. “Eternal Winter” never had its own music video, so we decided to add more highlights to this song and make it sound like you’ve never heard it before…”

NIGHTMARE are currently working on a new studio album and live dates for 2024, more news and info to follow soon!
