REVIEW – STREETLIGHT deliver a melodic masterpiece with their sophomore album ‘Night Vision’, releasing March 14th, 2025 via Frontiers Music Srl. The Jonkoping-based AOR/melodic rock band embraces the golden era of the genre while injecting their sound with a modern, emotionally charged pulse. Clocking in with ten tracks of big hooks, shimmering synths, and powerful vocals, ‘Night Vision’ proves they’re not just nostalgic—they’re leading a new wave.

Opening with “Long-Distance Runner”, the band sets the tone immediately—powerful, emotional, and layered with atmosphere that sends shivers down your spine. “Captured In The Night” follows with pulsating keys and crunchy riffs under soaring vocals, a track that perfectly balances cinematic tension and melodic drive. “Sleep Walk” pulls listeners into a dreamlike state, a time capsule of 80s synth-laced magic. Then there’s “Learn To Love Again”, a wistful track wrapped in ethereal tones that invites you to drift and reflect.

“Late Night Hollywood” feels like the turning point—cinematic, transportive, and nostalgic. “Leanna” is soaked in emotion, built from fragments of memory and longing. With “Straight To Video”, the energy kicks back in—fist-pumping, chant-along rock at its finest. “Fly With Eagles” lets the emotions soar again, riding on huge melodies and powerful vocals, while “Where Did Love Go” floats in on a cloud of melancholic beauty. Closer “End Game” ends the record on a high—a prog-tinged melodic rock journey that showcases every element the band does best.

With ‘Night Vision’, STREETLIGHT step fully into their identity. From the massive choruses to the perfectly layered synths and tasteful guitar work, the band captures the essence of classic melodic rock with their own forward-looking twist. Their debut ‘Ignition’ showed promise—this one delivers on it completely. The Swedish rockers channel the spirit of bands like Journey and Toto while forging their own path, and this album proves they’re ready for stages far beyond Sweden.
