New Music Review: RYAN SUMMERS ‘Undo Influence’

REVIEW – Electronic/rock musician Ryan Summers debuts a new album titled Undo Influence.

The first track “Chasm” feels like entering in a space western before floating along for a perilous ride through majestic instrumental pieces and calming vocals. The following song “The Curious Story of Brad Halsey” sets a 1980s electro synth experience. The song transitions with steady drum beats and keyboards to tie everything together. “Holy Criminal” bounces off the walls with an out of this world sound bringing in elements of industrial synth pop.

“Sons of Gallow” begins with a piano introduction setting into a mellow slow down close to the album. With thought provoking lyrics “Forget about the rhetoric you don’t understand” shows “Sons of Gallow” heading into that trajectory of self reflection and thought into what one understands.  “There is Nothing for Me Here” builds upon a beautiful piano introduction with Summers lyrics adding to the richness of the song to draw the listener in for the ride.

Ryan Summers hails from Wisconsin as a multi-genre audio production artist and an electronic performer. Fans of Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, R.E.M, and Nick Cave will come to appreciate the talent of Summers.
