REVIEW – Fortune, the melodic rock cult legends, have released their third album, “Level Ground,” on Frontiers Music s.r.l. Following the positive response to their 2019 comeback album “II,” which ended a 34-year break from album releases, and the 2020 live release ‘The Gun’s Still Smokin’,’ the band’s energy and creativity were boosted in order to produce another melodic rock jewel to add to their crown.
‘Silence Of The Heart,’ the album’s lead song, combines smooth vocals, deep guitar riffs, scorching leads, and steady drums. The next track “Judgement Day” is a fist pumping, head banging, foot stomping, metal magic masterpiece. The third song, “Dangerous Things,” is an upbeat number that’s sure to get everyone on their feet and banging their heads along. The next track “I Will Hold You Up” will have you closing your eyes and allowing the emotions pull you in.
On the album’s sixth track, “Riot In The Heartland,” the band and vocalists take you on a wild adventure. When you hear the next song, “Orphaned In The Storm,” you’ll be taken in by its infectious melody and appealing chorus. The eighth tune “I Should Have Known You’d Be Trouble” contains an infectious rhythm and with fiery vocals. The next track “Hand In Hand” has blazing leads, steady rhythms, and seductive vocals. The title track “Level Ground” will get you up on your feet singing along and rocking out. The album’s final track, “Lunacy Of Love,” is a very memorable experience. the band’s long line of excellent Melodic Rock releases continues with the release of their current album, “Fortune.”
