Andorra’s progressive metal alchemists NAMI recently completed the recordings of their upcoming new studio album. Titled “The Eternal Light of the Unconscious Mind”, the band’s second full-length, and follow up to their critically-lauded 2011 opus, “Fragile Alignments”, was mixed and mastered by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Katatonia, Witchcraft) at Fascination Street Studios in Örebrö, Sweden and is scheduled for release this fall in Europe via Graviton Music Services and in Canada via Year of the Sun.
Centered around dreams and the unconscious, the album boasts an incredibly rich sonic palette that veers from powerful, dark metal to contemplative and dreamlike ambiences, resulting in the band’s most focused and captivating effort to date. Additionally, “The Eternal Light of the Unconscious Mind” features the contributions of The Ocean’s Loïc Rossetti and Persefone’s Carlos Lozano and Marc Martins on some tracks.
Further details, including tour plans, will be unveiled in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out the amazing album teaser:
