Lora Kelley Embraces Her Inner Child With New Single “Snow Day” (Holiday Mix)

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (December 7, 2020) – Singer-songwriter Lora Kelley released her winter single “Snow Day” (Holiday Mix) on December 7. After two EP releases, Kelley is now gearing up for new releases into the new year. The song was written on the first day back to school that quickly turned into a snow day. “As a mother, I was having a ‘come to Jesus’ meeting with myself about going out to play in the snow with my kids,” says Kelley. “Embrace the magic!” Kelley’s vocal charm and catchy lyrics pair together perfectly to create the perfect winter theme song. The track was even recently featured on Grand Illumination, a local TV show in Virginia. This version of the song was created for the holiday lovers out there, with a new version (better for any winter day post-Christmas) coming soon.

Written from a caregiver’s point-of-view, “Snow Day” is about leaving all responsibilities behind to enjoy the flurries and fun. “Pile up them dirty dishes in the sink,” Kelley sings. “Leave their worn pajamas on the floor.” Kelley is known for creating music from a real and relatable perspective. From the complexities of being a woman to the nuances of female-driven hospitality, she knows how to put feelings and experiences into gorgeous lyrics and melodies. Fans can look forward to Lora Kelley’s first full-length album coming in Spring 2021.
