Kickstand Jenny debuts their new album titled Between The Lies. The 10-track album showcases the diverse talents that Kickstand Jenny explores on each song.
“Love It Or Leave It” starts off with shredding guitars and a pulsating drum beat for an energetic opening. “Standing In The Doorway” contains a steady buildup diving into the concepts of love, heartache and separation. “Tonight” holds a fun punk influenced sound that keeps the head bopping throughout its entirety delving. Singing about simply running away into the night makes “Tonight” a favorite on the new album. “Death Trap” is a classic rock anthem about how the other person in a relationship is a death trap that needs to be let go. “Only Love Can Break Your Heart” featuring the soaring vocals of Jim Riley brings a country infused rock piece to close the album on a strong note.
Kickstand Jenny demonstrates their dedication and love for music on this great debut. This album is definitely worth repeated listenings.
