GLASS MIMIC Embraces Melancholic Post-Metal Subtleties on Debut EP, Stitches

To coincide with today’s release of their debut EP, Stitches, plaintive New York trio GLASS MIMIC has unveiled a video for the single “Cavalier.”

“The song is an exposition of possession – the dual nature of guardianship and confinement,” says the band. “The friction of savior and captor. That what you seek to protect is that which you will ensnare.”

Available today, Stitches introduces listeners to the depth of GLASS MIMIC with its sorrowful yet beautifully romantic sound. Elements of somber songwriting invoking classical doom motifs are paired with electronics for a subtle post-metal sound that will appeal to fans of Katatonia, Swallow the Sun and Paradise LostStitches is available via SpotifyApple Music and Bandcamp.

Formed in the winter of 2017 by former and current members of the death-doom collective Fin’Amor and goth-industrial metal group Fellahin Fall, guitarist Julian, keyboardist and bassist Nodar, and singer-songwriter Eugene comprise the sonic triumvirate that is GLASS MIMIC.
