New Single and Video “Brandon Boulder” Out Now!
Deluxe Edition of Kold Blooded Dropping June 17th
Telling the story behind the video, Mike Florentine shares “‘Brandon Boulder’ is about an ex-friend of mine and his shitty ex-girlfriend. They would fight and complain like it was a soap opera all day and all night and thatâs what this song is about. The video for this song was filmed way back in 2019. We filmed the video on the beach in Union Beach, New Jersey with Eric DeCarlo of SquareUp Studios. Heâs worked with the likes of Attila, Fit For An Autopsy, Emmure, Lorna Shore, Shadow Of Intent, Gideon, Left To Suffer, Bodysnatcher, & many more. The video itâs self was an experience in its self. It was 95 degrees outside & as much as I thought that Parkway Drive & Breaking Benjamin were on to something about beach videos, I was dead wrong. But besides getting eaten alive by horse flies the entire time it was a great experience. Something that I donât think people know about the video is that Eric used a drone at some points for the band shots”
Formed in 2014, Generation Underground, winners of the Akademia Best Rock Song of February 2020, consists of Mike Florentine, Rob Squicciarini and Rafael Marroquin. The band has solid performing experience having shared the stage with bands such as Attila, Chelsea Grin, Escape The Fate, Lorna Shore, Spite, Traitors, Cattle Decapitation, Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria, Carnifex, The Word Alive, Nonpoint, Slaughter To Prevail, Drowning Pool, Shadow Of Intent, Orthodox, Raven, Hed Pe, Palisades, Alesana, Angel Vivaldi, Doyle from the Misfits, Emo Nite and more.
Since it’s inception, Generation Underground has released two two albums, Generation Underground and Kold Blooded Vol. 1, as well as one EP, Slaves to the World, in it’s seven year history. The band’s two albums were produced by Chris Pennie (of Dillinger Escape Plan, Coheed And Cambria) and their first EP was done by John Moyer from Disturbed. In addition, they have accumulated over 77,000 views on our YouTube channel along with having 31,000 monthly listeners per month on Spotify.
Some notable artists they have shared the stage with Chelsea Grin, Attila, Cattle Decapitation, Drowning Pool, Nonpoint, Escape The Fate, The Word Alive, Danny Worsnop of Asking Alexandria, Slaughter To Prevail, Doyle from the Misfits & many others! Some of their goals as a band is to get their new music to a wider audience, perform with all types of artists and bands, and hopefully secure a record contract in the future. In addition to their success thus far, they also wish to find more in the radio industry by hopefully securing rotation slots, and promotion from these stations.
