DOMINIC FRANCISCO Creates Haunting Story Series For Halloween Lovers

Multi-genre writer and musician Dominic Francisco is releasing his latest project called Sufferer’s Skin, a horror storytelling-style album, on October 23. Sufferer’s Skin is a new twist on old time horror radio, taking manifestations of personal trials and introspective influences and pairing them with clips of public domain music to create his own style of storytelling. “This project feels like it was supposed to happen. I’ve done projects in the past with horror narrative samples from old time horror radio, but this is me doing my own version of that,” Francisco said.

Dominic is a firm believer that in essence, art should be free to the consumer, which is why his latest project will be available for free streaming and downloads upon its release October 23rd, 2020. By doing this, Dominic hopes to shed a light on the overlooked, talented artists who compose music and share it for public use, as the latest project consists exclusively of samples under public domain licenses. “The stories on here are manifestations of personal trials and influences, and the music is made through clips of public domain music that I have an attachment to,” Francisco said. “I get to honor those courageous enough not to ask for credit (while obviously crediting them) and add my personality to it. It’s a great melding of the old world and mine.”

“I hope listeners can appreciate the effort I put into this, as well as glean some meaning from the stories. They each represent a different facet of finding meaning through fear, in a sense. I think of this as a tragedy-horror, as heartbreak is a primary ingredient here.” -Dominic Francisco

About Dominic Francisco:

Dominic Francisco is a musician and writer based in Albany, California who comes from a music background but is limitless in his pursuit to create. Born to a bassist, Francisco was surrounded by the art of music throughout his childhood, which gave him a sense of connection and a “mild obligation” to pursue music. “Fooling around” with GarageBand in his formative years gave Francisco the creative outlet he needed, developing a loop and sample based composition style. Francisco has recently expanded his creative breadth to short subject horror, writing and producing haunting yet poetic subject matter. Sufferer’s Skin,

Francisco’s latest project, is a new twist on old time horror radio, taking manifestations of personal trials and introspective influences and pairing them with clips of public domain music to create his own style of storytelling. Yes, artists have created horror-based audible experiences before, and yes, some have the ability to produce haunting music, but both together in one composition? Francisco’s ability to meld the two art forms makes his style that much more impressive.
