A light will brighten up the dark season this year: DEAF RAT will release their debut album “Ban The Light on November 1st via AFM Records.

With their first serve on the scene, the Swedish hard rock band serves up a dark long-player with juicy riffs and seductive melodies that turn the listener’s head. The title of the record comes from the first song written for the album – an emotional masterpiece about being an outsider and the courage to defend one’s own individuality against prejudice.

Vocalist Frankie Rich: “I had a pretty hard time at school because I was different in every way imaginable. I had a funny name, red curls and parents from another country. To make matters worse, I listened to KISS and WASP, while all my peers were fans of the Backstreet Boys and the SPICE GIRLS. I was incredibly unhappy.”

“Ban The Light” is a statement for all those who have been teased in the past, who have been fingered behind their backs. A statement for all those who have to endure hateful comments at work. Because of their style, their passion for music or simply because they are the people they are.

Ban The Light” will be released on CD and Clear Red vinyl (limited to 300 copies).
